"I am in private practice at Cumberland Square, across the corridor from Wally Burgess and in close proximity to a hairdresser, insurance agency, pharmacy, a veterinarion and an SGI assessemnt office. My practice is mainly with children and families but I see some adults, esecially on an
urgent basis and I am collecting a few adults for the longer term.
I still teach as a Clinical Professor with the U of S and have students in my office once or twice a week as well as doing seminars for family med and the residents and JURSIs."
Dr. Thorpe is a Consultant Psychiatrist in Saskatoon. She
left her full-time faculty position in the department of Psychiatry on Septmeber 5, 2000, and is pursuing
part-time geriatric psychiatry practice within the
Geriatric Assessment Program at Saskatoon City Hospital,
while taking graduate classes in Community Health and Epidemiology at the University of Saskatchewan.
She hopes to improve her research skills as well as learn
more about program evaluation, as she feels dedicated
to developing better mental health services and research
knowledge in seniors.
